PunkconformityLife, history, and the pursuit of knitting.

Medieval historian, academic advisor, avid crafter, voracious reader.  I have a macabre love for historical events that result in mass death (Pompeii, the Bubonic Plague, the Titanic), and frequently pick fights with the History Channel for presentism.  Fascinated by textile history in general, and undergarment history (as indicative of changing social constructs of beauty) in particular.  Craft of choice is knitting (obviously and obsessively), but I like to make things out of other things no matter the medium.
